Gathering Israel ("we", "our", or "the app") is a Book of Mormon reading challenge app available on iOS and Android. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

Information We Collect

Account Information

If you choose to create an account or sign in (via email, Google, or Apple), we collect:

• Email address
• Display name

Account creation is optional. The app is fully functional without signing in.

Reading Data

We store the following data to provide app functionality:

• Reading progress (which chapters you have completed)
• Reading streaks
• Personal notes you create on scripture verses

This data is stored locally on your device. If you sign in, it is also synced to the cloud (Google Firebase Firestore) so you can access it across devices.

Analytics

We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage data such as app opens, chapters read, and feature usage. This data is aggregated and does not personally identify you.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the app's functionality
• To sync your reading progress across devices (if signed in)
• To send daily reading reminders (if you enable them)
• To improve the app based on anonymous usage patterns

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties. Your data is only processed through:

• Google Firebase - for authentication, data storage, and analytics

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored locally on your device and, if you sign in, on Google Firebase servers. Firebase provides industry-standard security measures to protect your data.

Your Choices

• You can use the app without creating an account
• You can sign out at any time from the Settings screen
• You can reset all your reading progress and notes from the Settings screen
• You can enable or disable daily reading reminders

Children's Privacy

This app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
